We added a new mix of trails at the Coachella Valley Preserve for our hike this week. A couple of sections were brand new and others were portions of previous hikes.
We started at the Willis Palms Trail and hiked east to join the southern Hidden Palms Trail. We continued past Hidden Palms to the western edge of Horseshoe Palms and took the steep trail up the mountain to the ridge. Once on the ridge we followed the trail towards Pushawalla Palms. When we reached the trail that goes back to the Visitor Center, we followed it to the Hidden Palms Trail. Taking the Hidden Palms Trail we followed the stream back to our starting point.
The total loop took 3 hours and 20 minutes to complete. It was moderate 8 mile hike. Watch the above video.
