Hummingbirds in a Wind Chime - July 3rd 2009

The baby hummingbirds are 11 days old today. Haven't been able to see the mama bird feed the babies until this morning. I filmed a brief shot of her feeding the little ones, however, the footage is pixelated because I was too far away. I wasn't going to include this in the video because the footage looked bad, but better then nothing.

Baby hummingbirds usually leave their nest after 3 weeks. So I'm guessing these little hummers will leave their nest around July 13.

Sunset Pictures - Using My iPhone 3GS

I took some pictures and shot a brief video clip from my iPhone 3GS on the 17th fairway. We had another gorgeous sunset this evening. The smooth surface of the lake became a mirror reflecting the trees and clouds. If you enlarge the video and look closely, you will also see a large fin pop up from the water.

Hummingbirds - 6 Days Old

The little hummingbirds in the wind chime are now six days old. When I filmed the above footage, the mother bird wasn't around. I suppose she was out shopping for baby food because the little birds had their beaks wide open.

The wind was blowing this evening causing the wind chimes to bounce all around as you can see in the above video. I was so worried the little birds would fall out of their nest. However, the wind finally calmed down and all is well.

Brushes A Cool App for iPhone

I just downloaded Brushes for $4.99 on my iPhone. This is a cool App that lets me draw and paint with my index finger. I also downloaded the Brushes Viewer for free that records my drawing and plays it back. Here's a couple of sketches I drew off the top of my head to demonstrate it.

What's All The Barking About?

My dog, Pumpkin, is almost 17 years old. Although he has some serious health issues that comes with his age, it's a sigh of relief when I hear his barks, he's still very much alive!

Two Days Old - Baby Hummingbirds

Two baby hummingbirds just two days old. I zoomed the lens on my camcorder and brightened the video to get a closer and clearer look of the little birds in the nest.

Hummingbird Egg Hatched Today!

Well it finally happened! There were two hummingbird eggs in the nest and today, one of the eggs hatched. I had to film real fast before the mother returned to her nest. Watch the above brief video clip of the tiny baby hummingbird one day old.
