Swiss Raclette Dinner with Friends

Last night, Gordon and I had the most unique dinner we ever had! In fact we never even heard of it until just now. The hosts, Dennis and Brigitte, called it the Swiss Raclette.

In the center of the table was an electric table-top grill with small wedge-shaped pans under the grill. There were thin slices of pork, chicken and beef to be cooked on top of the griddle. Also prepared for the small pans were small boiled potatoes, mushrooms, peas, tomatoes, asparagus, corn, zucchini, onions and assorted cheeses.

Brigitte described "Raclette" as a cheese to scrape off from the small pans. Watch the above video to see how everyone got involved cooking their own dinner like Bennie Hannas style.

We had so much fun at this wonderful dinner party. Thank you Brigitte and Dennis! It's going to be a tough act to follow when it's our turn for dinner!
