We went hiking in La Quinta yesterday morning. Our plan was to hike the Boo Hoff Trail but found out it was closed. To protect the
Big Horn Sheep during the lambing season, this trail along with several others are closed from January 1st to June 30th. After walking two miles and found out Boo Hoff was off limits, we decided to hike the Cove to Lake Trail. If you've been following my video blog, you will see we hiked this trail on December 20, 2009. Only this time around, we discovered a cast iron or bronze horse statue sitting on top of a rocky hill. It's funny how we didn't notice the statue when we took this same hike before. The horse statue was as big as life, how could we have missed it? Unless it was just put there. Who knew?
