My Beloved Pumpkin 1992 - 2009
Yesterday afternoon our beloved dog, Pumpkin, passed away after battling kidney disease. He was just three months short of being 17 years old. Most people say he lived a long life, but to us it wasn't long enough. I lost my brother, my father, and my grandparents, all who I was very close to and the hurt I feel today is equal to that pain. Pumpkin was a big part of both my husband and my life. He was our baby.
I don't need to explain the grieving I'm experiencing, I'm sure many of you have had your share. If you are a pet lover, then you would completely understand. Our dog gave us unconditional love, right to the very end. Pumpkin maybe gone, but he will never be forgotten. His memories will live on in my thoughts and in all the pictures I took throughout his entire life.
The above video, "Goodbye My Friend," is a tribute to my beloved dog who meant the world to me.
