Gordon hasn't hiked for at least five and half months since he injured his back. I was real surprised that he picked this hike after his recovery because it's a nice hefty climb up to the cross.
On Thursday, February 4th, we hiked the Hopalong Cassidy Trail. We parked near the Baptist Church and walked south to the Homestead Trailhead. The Homestead Trail crosses over to the Hopalong Cassidy Trail which we hiked part of the way. Then we exit off on the Gabby Hayes Trail to return to the Baptist Church.

This hike was easy to moderate and one of the few trails on which dogs are allowed. Next Thursday we'll take the full Hopalong Cassidy trail that connects to the Bump-n-Grind Trails. To view pictures, CLICK HERE.
