Hidden Palms Hike - Coachella Valley Preserve

On Christmas eve morning, we hiked to the Hidden Palms trail at The Coachella Valley Preserve. This trail is one of many that are located at the preserve. Previously, I posted video and pictures on my vlog of two other trails we hiked here:

November 13, 2009 - Oasis Palms
December 10, 2009 - Pushawalla Palms

The Hidden Palms was the most moderate hike we've taken so far. We chose this trail because our time was limited for Christmas eve.

The Hidden Palms is a fairly large grove of palms hidden in a little valley on the southern edge of the preserves. We took the same route as the Pushawalla Trail until we were at the top of the section we called "The Stairs." Then we hiked the southern branch of the trail that wanders across a plateau. The trail follows a ravine down into the valley where we saw the Hidden Palms.
