I went hiking with the guys at The Coachella Valley Preserve early yesterday morning. The weather was cool and overcast, perfect for hiking.
The San Andreas Fault runs through The Coachella Valley Preserve where the Palm Oases are (shown in the picture below).
I didn't see any Fringe-toed Lizard, however, I did see a BIG bug that scared the heck out of me!
