A Day at the Podcast Expo

We went to the Podcast and New Media Expo on Saturday, September 29th at the Ontario Convention Center. This was our second year attending this event. It’s fun just to look at all the latest technology and meeting people who have the same interests.

When we arrived at the Ontario Convention Center Hall we went to the Registration to pick up our badge and bag of goodies. This year we didn’t attend any of the Conference Sessions, however we did go to the Keynote Address.

Afterwards, we went to the exhibits to look at all the cool gadgets for podcasting. I saw a few familiar faces at the exhibit hall and said hello to many. I saw Roxanne from Beach Walks with Rox, Daniel McVicar from The Late Nite Mash. Dan also stars on one of my favorite soaps, CBS Daytime - The Bold And The Beautiful. I also got to say hi to Hayden Black of Goodnight Burbank.

We bought a couple of microphones there, one for my camcorder and the other for our Mac Pro. Also a special “thank you” to Noel Herron from Noelotropolis for helping me make a decision on which microphone to buy. It works great!

The Podcast Expo was fun this year and we’re looking forward to going to the 2008!
