King for a Day

Yesterday I played in a golf tournament called "King for a Day." The tournament consist of three ladies picking a man for a King to play golf. The women are not allowed to pick their own spouse. Our King was Pete and we had a lot of fun. Pete gave us each a bag of roasted garlic pretzels, fine chocolate, a terry cloth towel for golf that had "King for a Day" embroidered on it, a gold golf ball and gold tees. We ate all our chocolates on all the holes we parred on and wiped our tears away for all the one's we missed with our new terry cloth towels. LOL! In all seriousness, it was so nice of our King to give us all that stuff (I know his wife, Mitzi had something to do with it). The weather wasn't as nice as it could have been. It was cloudy and chilly but got a little warmer towards the afternoon.

The luncheon was very good. We had a salad with a roll, stir fried beef and vegetables with rice and for dessert, vanilla icecream on a chocolate brownie with fresh rasberries and chocolate syrup. OMG! It was sooo good! Then we had a pleasant surprise. Santa Claus visited us and brought candy canes to everyone at their tables. Poor Santa, he was attacked by women kissing him and pulling his beard. Ho! Ho! Ho!

Congratulations to Tom who won "King for a Day" and his team, Karen, Charlotte and Oosje! The game was played as two best balls.
