I was sitting in my upstairs office at my computer when I heard a loud whizzing sound! It scared me for a second and I wondered what all the noise was about! Then I looked out the window and realized it was a hot air balloon going over the top of my roof. I saw four people in a basket waving at me as I looked out the window! By the time I got my camera to take a picture of the hot air balloon, it had already whizzed over the 12th green and was heading towards White Hawk (see above picture)
Someone once told me that when they rode in a hot air balloon, it felt like they were suspended in the wind and the earth appeared to be turning below them. Then the horizon rises as you dip to kiss the treetops, then falls away until the landscape spreads to incredible dimensions. I would love to go in a hot air balloon to take pictures, but first I would have to take some dramamine. I get motion sickness too easily.
