The reason why I play golf is because it's outdoors, it's a challenging activity, and I'm out with my friends for a few hours. So I miss a two foot putt. It shouldn't ruin my day, however, sometimes it does. It's not as if I'm going on the LPGA tour (LOL)! I guess It's my pride. When I was younger I use to be able to drive a ball at least, 200 yards. Today I'm lucky to make 150 yards. Everyone knows...you drive for show and putt for doe. Sometimes, I just rather drive for show to get my pride back. "Well at least I don't walk off the golf course anymore. That's got to be big improvement for me.
Here's a funny story that sounds like something I would do:
A golfer is playing a round of golf with her friends. On the sixth hole, a hole over water, she proceeds to flub nine balls into the water. Frustrated over her poor golfing ability, she heaves her golf clubs into the water, and begins to walk off the course.
Then all of a sudden she turns around and jumps back in the lake, her friends apparently thinking she is going to retrieve her clubs.
When she comes out of the water she doesn't have her clubs and begins to walk off the course.
Then one of her friends asks, "Why did you jump into the lake?"
And she said, "I left my car keys in the bag."
