This is almost like the bone chilling book "Attack of the Killer Ants" except this is a true story. Woodhaven is being invaded by killer Fire Ants! My poor dog got bit all over his little belly several months ago. I had to take him to the emergency animal hospital to get treatment because he got really sick! The same thing happened to me. I just had one bite on my knee that got infected and I had to get an antibiotic. After that, we have our home sprayed inside and out, bi-monthly by an exterminator. That's the only way to extinguish Fire Ants. Actually, you'll never be able to put a complete end to those nasty little insects. The ants are like the Terminator.... "I'll be back!" LOL!
Click on above movie clip to see hundreds of Fire Ants that are invading our community. The ants you see in the above movie clip is on the 13th fairway at Woodhaven. I also heard that there were millions of ants on the 17th fairway. One golfer put his club down on the grass, when he went to pick up his club, his hands and feet were covered with Fire Ants!
Here's what the "California Department of Food and Agriculture" had to say: It is believed that the infestations in Southern California may stem from the shipment of infested nursery stock from the southeastern states. Fruit orchard infestations in the agricultural regions of California's San Joaquin Valley have been traced back to colonies that hitchhiked on beehives shipped to California from Texas.
