Fisherman's Wharf - San Francisco 2012

While visiting Fisherman's Wharf we watched a couple of bakers make sourdough bread looking through
a large glass window at the front of  Boudin Bakery. Each batch of bread was artfully crafted into an alligator, crab, turtle or teddy bear. Watch the above video to see a few clips of that demonstration.

We stopped at Scoma's Restaurant for dinner without reservations. There was a 45 minute wait but was well worth it. The dinner was wonderful! We'll definitely go there again the next time we're up in San Francisco.

Homemade Sourdough Bread

Last night I made homemade sourdough bread. Above is just a quick glance of what it looked like after it was baked. The only reason I didn't take a slice a bread, I made this for my mom. Don't worry Gordie, I'll make the next one for you.

Even if I don't eat it, I love the smell of fresh baked bread!
