We had a tropical storm hit us today in Palm Desert, CA. Rain or shine, hummingbirds don't mind the rain.

It's Raining in Palm Desert

It's raining. It's pouring. The old man is snoring. Don't worry honey, I'm not talking about you!

It only rained for a minute, then stopped. Wait a second, I heard thunder! It might be coming back. Who says, "It never rains in southern California?"

Summary of Our Day in Oahu

The above movie is a summary of what our day was like in Oahu.

We started our day by having pancakes, bacon and eggs for breakfast for only $3.75. Then hiked up to Makapu'u Point Lighthouse Trail. The Makapu'u Lighthouse was closed off but we were able to view it from the summit.

After our hike it start to rain. It actually wasn't rain but more like soft sprinkles throughout the day. Then it stopped quickly and the sun was shinning brightly on the beaches again.

Later in the afternoon, while looking out from the lanai, I saw several sail boats sailing by. Then of course the inevitable happened this evening...a beautiful sunset!

The weatherman predicted rain in the forecast. So far he's right on the mark. Today was a perfect opportunity for some comfort food on this rainy Monday. Check out the stew I made today in the above video.

It's Beginning To Feel A Lot Like Winter!

Just last week I was wearing shorts and flip flops. Today I'm wearing heavy clothing and my boots. I think I'll turn the heater on! Is it winter yet?
