Butchart Gardens - Brentwood Bay

On August 14, 2012, we went with Dan and Linda to The Butchart Gardens in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia, Canada, located near Victoria on Vancouver Island. The gardens were absolutely beautiful! I especially loved the Sunken Garden and The Ross Fountain (dancing fountain). If you love flowers, then this is the place to visit.  We were so impressed! Watch the above video.

A Pretty Day in January - Palm Desert, CA

Today was breezy and sunny around 82 degrees in Palm Desert. Not bad for January, considering it's snowing in other parts of the country. I went outdoors to get some fresh air when I spotted a little bee making its rounds from flower to flower. See above video clip.

On my walk today, January 12, 2011, I took a few pictures of the beautiful flowers along the way. These were all taken with my iPhone 4. It's hard to believe there are people shoveling snow in other parts of the country. While here in Palm Desert, we're shoveling Miracle-Gro to pump up our annual flowers.



The above video was taken three years ago in January. The weather seems to be consistent through the years.

Winter Flowers - Palm Desert, CA

Just a quick video of flowers on our walkway. They look great this year because the weather has been warm.

Don't ask me the names of the flowers. I have no clue what they are. Our gardener plants it for us.

Winter Flowers

I don't have a green thumb when it comes to flowers. I tried planting flowers last season and they didn't do so well. This time, I had Arnold (our gardener) plant the seasonal flowers in our front and back. What a big difference! Watch the video.
