Remembering My Dad on Veteran's Day

My father enlisted in the Army on November 5, 1940 at Washington D.C. and served as an Airforce Airplane Mechanical Engineer. He was a Technical Sergeant for the 486th Fighter Squadron. Dad went to England April 24, 1943 and when he returned to the U.S. on November 9, 1945 he received several medals.

My father passed away three years ago on February 1, 2005. As a tribute to my dad, we had a brick engraved with his name on it. Recently it was placed on the Walk of Honor at the Palm Springs Air Museum.
