Hiking the Coachella Valley Preserve

We hiked the Coachella Valley Preserve again to explore another new trail. More friends joined us on this 7 mile trek that took us a little over three hours to complete. Watch the above video to view some of the most unique and unusual rock formations. The trails at the Preserve are endless!

Hi Linda and Gordon,
Marlene and I really enjoyed your video and have sent the link to it our friends still living at Trilogy who hike every Friday together. I have raved about how nice you two were to me and always wanted you both to meet them for a possible hike together.

By the way, Linda, what camera was used for this video? I have found a real gem of a camera and purchased for Marlene but I find myself using it all the time. Please check it out.

It is a Sony HX9V sill camera that shoots 1080P one of the first to do so, has a 18-1 zoom, 16 MB quality.

If you go to Vimeo and list that model there are some beautiful videos to watch. We still miss California and are really trying hard to like it here. I just contracted Pneumonia after coming home on a plane Saturday. And to top it all off Marlene's Mom passed away 3 days after we left her on Tuesday.
It was so refreshing to watch your hiking and always view your work, both photos and videos on Facebook.

Keep up the great work!!!

Larry and Marlene

Larry and Marlene,

Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Thank you Larry for sharing information about the Sony HX9V. I'm looking into it. I'm still using my old Canon HV40, Nikon D40 and iPhone 4 on most of my little projects. I used the Canon H40 on this particular video. I actually need to get a new Mac before I get another camera. My Mac Pro is over 5 years old and doesn't have a video card capable for the new Final Cut Pro.

I am so glad you both enjoy watching the videos of our hikes. If you ever come out this way, please join us. If we go to Arizona some time we'll be sure to look you two up.

Larry, sorry to hear you have Pneumonia. That is some serious stuff! Hope you are doing better and on the mend. Please take care.

Your Friends,
Linda & Gordon
