We started our trek around 6:20 this morning at the Coachella Valley Preserve to hike Herman's Trail. The trailhead started near Willis Palms Oasis in Thousand Palms.

I was so surprised to see how much the palm trees are recovering after being scorched in a fire that happend on November 26, 2010.

We saw many interesting critters along the way including a Horned Toad Lizard (see above photo). We also saw a Black-tailed Jack Rabbit.

We've hiked here many times before and really enjoyed this trail. It took us 3 hours and 20 minutes to complete a 7.5 mile hike.
