USS Arizona Memorial - Pearl Harbor

We got up early this morning and took the bus from Waikiki to Pearl Harbor. It was my first time (Gordon's second) to visit the USS Arizona Memorial. We waited in line for tickets to the 8:15 A.M. tour followed by a short boat ride to the monument.

The USS Arizona Memorial was a very moving experience to both Gordon and me. The monument sits on top of the sunken battleship in memory of the many sailors who lost their lives on December 7, 1941.

FYI: When visiting the Arizona, no purses, backpacks or camera cases are allowed. I wore capri cargo pants that have large pockets to put my personal valuables in. Cameras are allowed just not in a camera case. Also admission is free.
