Water Tubing - Kuapa Pond, Honolulu, HI

We were on our way to Costco when we stopped for lunch at a nearby cafe. We were seated outside overlooking Kuapa Pond when we saw a couple of boats pulling ski tubers. The boats were going real fast and made several sharp turns. Some tubers hung on while others flew off! It looked like a lot of fun!

I have to admit, this is the first time I ever saw this sport. Whatever happened to water skiing? Is it no longer in existence? Please don't tell me this is ancient history! If so, I need to keep my eyes peeled and stay in tuned with the world.
