Yellow-Fronted Canary - Honolulu, HI



The Yellow-fronted Canary is greenish yellow in color and a member of the the finch family. I saw this little bird shredding a white paper napkin in the grass, probably to use for material to build a nest. The bird almost looked camouflaged against the tall green grass. I was getting scared at how it seemed to eat the plastic cellophane type thing in its beak.

I didn't realize he was eating the plastic cellophane. It blew away off his beak and then he went for the napkin.
