Vacation: Hoover Dam / Las Vegas: Part 1

Went to see the Hoover Dam in Boulder City. We didn't see very much of the Dam because there was too much traffic. Instead, we stopped to look at the Colorado River Bridge construction. We saw a twin-rib concrete arch that when completed, the bridge will connect Arizona and Nevada highways 900-feet above the Colorado River.

After sight seeing at the Hoover Dam, we went to Las Vegas. We had reservations at The Wynn. The hotel was beautiful and we loved our room. After dinner we walked around the strip.

Linda, A few years ago, I went on a roadtrip to Hoover Dam. Loved the Dam road across it. Did not take the Dam tour, though. We laughed so much about getting to say "Dam" a lot! Didn't take much to entertain us I guess! I think there was a movie, National Lampoon's Vacation with Chevy Chase, where all the dam comments came from! LOL! Betty

Betty, you're too funny! You reminded me of what I told my hubby when we got stuck in traffic over there:

"Let's get out of here! There's too many Dam people here!" LOL!
