Happy Easter!

The above brief movie is a glimpse of us kids back in 1956 visiting our grandmother on Easter Sunday. I remember feeling so cool wearing my shiny new patent leather shoes and Easter bonnet. Whoo hoo! Those were the days!

Here's wishing everyone a wonderful Easter day!

If you're wondering which kid was me in the above movie, I'm the tallest one.

Love your vintage video! Looks like you are not the first in your family to like new gadgets! Not many people made home movies in 1956, right? Was that with a 16mm camera? My mom's first husband was a dentist. When they adopted my step sister, Linda, they bought a 16mm camera and taped her every move. Growing up, it was fun to watch those old movies at family gatherings. But wait, I am commenting on YOUR movie, oh that's right! Your shiny shoes and hats were adorable! I love the mint condition car which also made a significant appearance in your movie. People don't dress that way anymore. Is that a good or a bad thing? Hmm... Betty

Thanks, Betty! I guess I take after my grandmother. She loved taking pictures and filming. Yes that was a 16mm camera. My aunt had it made into a VHS tape a long time ago and then I digitized it recently. I'm glad I don't dress like that anymore. It would be definitely hard to put my feet in those patent leather shoes! LOL!
