African Spurred Tortoise

The African Spurred Tortoise is the third largest species of tortoise in the world. I saw two of them at The Living Desert. The two tortoise walked slowly to their cave then made a U turn very gingerly and walked back out again. They repeated their trek several times while I was there. They either were looking for food or just bored!
