Getting Greener

Overseeding started on September 15th, which left the golf course brown and dusty. A few days later the sprinklers were turned back on. The grass is starting to turn green again in less then a week.

It's amazing to see grass grow so incredibly fast in just a few days!

Hi Barb!
Overseeding is when the golf courses switch from the summer Bermuda grass to the cool-weather rye grass that keeps it green. The process takes between 3 to 4 weeks. During the processes there's a lot of dust and brown grass.

Normally most golf courses in the desert here overseed around the middle of October. However, our golf course does it towards the end of September.
