Indio Performing Arts Center
Did you know there's a new performing arts center in Indio? Well there is! I found out while watching CBS 2 Palm Springs - Patrick Evans "Eye on the Desert" Host interviewing Norma Leith. Leith is the Executive/Artistic Director for the Indio Performing Arts Center (IPAC). This is the first season that the IPAC is opened to the public.
I was so excited that we bought some tickets for next Saturday night. We are going to see "Zero Hour" the story of Zero Mostel written and performed by award winning playwright and actor Jim Brochu.
My husband and I drove over to the IPAC to get some literature today. That's when we met Norma Leith who graciously greeted us at the door. We were offered a tour of the facility, which we jumped at. I happened to have my pocket camera and she let me film her (see above video).
Go to Indio Performing Arts Center Web Site to get tickets.

You're going to see "Zero Hour"??? How terrific. You're going to love it. After the show, be sure to tell Jimmy that you're my friend (he always comes out to greet the audience after the show).
Came by way of Millie over at My Mom's Blog. We just spent a week in Palm Springs. Loved it.
I have a question. Is that a Maltese in your photo? We lost our Yorkie a year ago to a kidney problem and I am toying with the idea of getting a new puppy and am fascinated by the Maltese, but know very little about them.
Hi Maria! Thanks for visiting my vlog. Sorry about the lost of your Yorkie. It's a painful experience to lose a dog...they're our babies & they're our family.
The photo is a picture of my dog Pumpkin who's a Shih Tzu. He will be 15 years old on Halloween. Gee, I wonder why I called my dog Pumpkin...lol!
Shih Tzu's look similar to the Maltese except for their pug faces. I have a friend who has two Maltese and they are beautiful. They have a great personality and are very smart. Shih Tzu's are good natured also. I love my little Pumpkin!
