iChat Video from Hawaii
Gordon is visiting friends in Hawaii. As most of my family and friends know me, I hate flying and won't go. Also I don't mind staying home, I have Pumpkin to keep me company.
Instead of talking on the telephone (the old fashion way) we've been keeping in touch through video iChat. What is video iChat? I knew you would ask me that. iChat is a AOL instant Messenger (AIM) for Mac OS X. Using our iSight camera that comes with our computers, we're able to video conference. The cool thing about this, it doesn't cost us anything.
I remember using video conferences at work many years ago. It was complicated to set up and it cost a fortune to use. In todays world it's easy to use and it doesn't cost a dime. We sure came a long ways with technology! Haven't we?
Click on the above video to watch us using the video iChat. We're more then 2,300 miles apart, yet I feel like he's right in the same room with me. Gordon's using his MacBook Pro Laptop. The video is so clear. Amazing!
