My friend called me yesterday afternoon to take a picture of a hummingbird nest in her back patio. So I brought my little camera to take a picture. I couldn't believe where the nest was. It was right on the feet of a golfer figurine chime. Inside the tiny nest was a tiny egg that almost looked like a miniature golf ball. I got on a ladder to take a picture. I was very careful not to touch or get too close to the nest.

Three years ago my husband and I plus our dog, Pumpkin went cross country on vacation. We stopped at a little bakery upstate New York for lunch. My husband and Pumpkin sat outside waiting while I was ordering sandwiches. I noticed Pumpkin sat in front of the screen door looking inside the bakery. I thought he looked so darn cute. I had to take this short little video clip of him to remember that precious moment.

I went to the car wash to get my suv washed because I was too lazy to clean it myself. Now it's all shiny and clean and I feel like I have a new car. With my luck, we'll probably get a big sand storm or something.

a week ago when we were in Westlake Village, my niece and my two sisters met for breakfast outside a coffee shop. My pretty niece who's an honor student in high school is trying to pass her driver's test. See the video.

Traffic in the Desert

The traffic in the desert is getting so bad. Today the traffic reminded me of my working days back in LA going through Sig Alerts. My mom only lives right down the street from me and it took me 30 minutes to get home when it only should have been five minutes the most.

I had so much time on my hands sitting in traffic that I took the above picture just to prove it.

Darin & Lisa Engaged!

Yes it's true! Darin (my stepson) and Lisa are getting married! No date has been set yet. His dad and I are so excited for them.

It's Five O'Clock Somewhere

I had mentioned in my previous blog that where I live all our condo's look a like. Many of us put statues in front of our places as landmarks so we don't drive past our driveways, see movie If These Statues Could Talk. My neighbor, John not only has a statue in front of his home (little bunnies), he now has a statue of a frog on his back patio. The raw iron frog golfer sits on a two foot high fence facing the golf course. Now his friends can easily find his place after golf for cocktails.

This maybe the dumbest movie I ever made....well, at least one of them (LOL)! Everytime I run out of dog food, I end up buying Pumpkin another toy. Like my dog really needs another toy! I have a whole hamper and a box filled with dog toys. I should give some of those toys away to the less fortunate dogs. Pumpkin has more then he can chew on.

I need a new camcord

I need a camcord so bad. My camcord broke a long time ago and I've been recording my movies on a little 3.2 MP digital camera that holds up to 30 seconds at a time. The quality is pretty bad but it seems to be o.k. for the Internet. I tried to buy the camcord my sister has, but it's discontinued.

So the one I really would like to have now is the Sanyo VPC-HD1. It's not available until March. It would be so nice if my husband gets me one for my birthday (I hope he reads my blog). Here's the information I found on the new camcord I want (just in case my husband happens to read this):

Putters Tournament Movie

Here's a short movie I made of the putter's tournament I went to yesterday. I added just a few sound effects to make it a little more interesting. The videos were of my friends that were in the Aloha Putters tournament. Most of my friends don't use the computer much and will probably never see this movie. They are too busy playing golf or putting while I'm inside playing with the computer.

The putter's tournament was hosted by Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, CA. The theme was called ALOHA PUTTERS.

This is the first time I went as a guest and not as a putter for a change. Maybe that's why I had more fun this time, no pressure. I really enjoyed the beautiful weather and taking pictures of everyone. Also cheered for our team whenever they got an ace!

Mission Hills C.C. did a wonderful job hosting today's tournament. The luncheon and entertainment was great and I loved the tee prizes we got. We each received a gold golf ball pen holder with a gold pen.

I haven't been able to post anything on my blog because it was all hosed up these last two days! Somehow some of my settings were changed and some are missing. I no longer have the date and time stamp and a few other things. Where it all went I'm totally clueless! I think it's because I use Safari. So I may have to switch to Firefox to post my blog for now on.

Hopefully I'll be able to work this out. I made the above movie out of frustration. Now I can look back and laugh at myself.

Today's my brother's birthday

Today would have been my little brother's 41st birthday. It's been 17 months since his death. I still can't believe he is gone. I keep thinking he's just away at work or maybe on vacation. It's the only way I can cope with it by believing he's just away.

Shortly after my brother's death, never knowing how to do a web site, I attempted to create my very first one as a tribute to Earl. While creating his web site, it seemed to help me through the grieving part, however I'll never get over losing my baby brother.

Today, I promised myself that I would not cry and get all emotional, my brother wouldn't want me to. So this morning and all through the day, I'll celebrate Earl's birthday in my thoughts. I'll remember all the good times we once had as brother and sister. Every now and then I go to my brother's web site. It makes me feel like he's still alive and I can see him one more time. Happy Valentine's Day to all of my readers, friends, and family! Well it's now 7:46 PM and I just barely had a chance to do my blog this evening. I've been busy all day long and just had a late start doing everything. I used to do my blog/vlogs early in the morning, but lately haven't had time. So sorry to the one's who read and view my blogs. I'll try to be more consistent, that is.... as long as life doesn't get in my way. LOL!

Pet Stroller

Sunday, on the way home from Santa Barbara, we stopped in our old neighborhood where we once lived. We were having breakfast in Westlake Village when I spotted a pink baby stroller. I went to take a peek inside the stroller and discovered it wasn't a baby but a cute little dog in pink tutu....LOL! .....and I'm not exaggerating, it's true! All I can say is "I gotta have one for my dog, Pumpkin." ....the pet stroller that is, not the pink tutu dog outfit. LOL!

We had a wonderful time over the weekend celebrating Auntie Betty's 85th birthday. A lot of her family and friends didn't want to miss this event, so some came by train (would you believe), others by plane and some by car. The party was held at her sons home in Santa Barbara.

The movie is a little longer than I usually make for the Internet, but didn't want to cut anything out. Check it out. Some of us didn't get in the movie, however I have some pictures and more video clips I'll show at a later time. Just got home this evening and made the above movie. Enjoy!

Visited my mom yesterday at Sun City. My mom had her television blasted in the background while I snapped a short video clip of her cat, Apollo. It was so funny when I played it back, the annoucer on the television seemed to be voicing Apollo's arrogant thoughts...LOL! Check it out!

I live in a townhouse where all the condo's look a like. Many of my neighbors have their own unique statues in front of their condo. The reason is so they don't drive past their place.

While I was taking my daily walk, I took some pictures of my neighborhood statues and added a voice.....now you know what it would be like if these statues could talk! The frog sucking through a straw in a coconut happens to be my pad.

The game was so exciting at one point, you can almost hear everyone's cheers all the way to Indio! The Pittsburgh Steelers became the champions by defeating the Seahawks 21-10!
