Holiday Claymation

Deck the halls with balls of play dough. Well, at least that's what I tried to do. I got this crazy idea to try to do a Christmas claymation.

I bought some cheap colorful play dough and thought I would give it a try. I rolled the clay in the palm of my hands and made little clay balls. Before I knew it I had created a Santa Claus. Then I made Gordon in his sandals, though I got his toes all messed up. Also I should have made him taller. After making Santa and Gordon, I made myself with my camera. Then I made Pumpkin with his ball. Pumpkin's tongue and ears kept falling off and the dough kept cracking. I guess it's because I bought cheap dough.

Just like my animation I made several months ago (not knowing how to use Flash), it's far from looking like a real claymation, however, it was fun!

Wow--that's terrific (and I recognized you right away). Walt and I did a teeny bit of animation 40 years ago and I know how much work it is! Fabulous job.

Hey Linda,

That was awesome! Reminds me of the Gumby and Pokey figurines. :-)
