Big Calculator

Years ago they didn't have the equipment like they do today to check your eyes. All we had to do back in those days, just cover one eye with your hand and read the chart. I could see the letters on the chart loud and clear on my left eye. When it came to my right eye, I could see nothing but darkness. So I would cup my hand over my left eye and peak through my fingers very gingerly to read the letters on the chart. No one ever noticed or caught me peaking. I was determined that I would never wear glasses.
In my late 40's I noticed things were starting to get a little blurry. Then one day I couldn't stand it. I finally went to a drug store and bought a pair of reading glasses at 1.25 optical. It was so nice to be able to read the fine print again.
As the years went by, my eyes have gradually gotten worse. I'm now buying reading glasses at 3.00 optical. Some day I'll see an optometrist, but not today.
My mom deals with her poor vision, by buying things with large print on it. A couple of weeks ago my brother-in-law found a big calculator at my mom's house (watch the short video clip).

Hey! I have ambliopia, too. Same eye. but I was put in glasses at age 10 and had to wear a patch, though I was too old and it didn't cure it. I still think of having "a good eye and a bad eye."
