Memorial Day

Went to the Palm Springs Air Museum in memory of my father.

My dad was a World War II veteran. He served in the U.S. Army as an Airforce Mechanical Engineer for the 486th Fighter Squadron. During that time, he worked as a crewchief for the P-51B Mustang, B-24 and many other fighter aircrafts. Actually, some of the planes being exhibit at the Palm Springs Air Museum are like the ones my father worked on.

I remember my dad use to go to the museum a lot because it brought back old memories of the pilots he use to know. Some of the pilots names were carved in stone at the museum as a tribute.

Sad to say, my father is no longer with us, he passed away on February 1st, 2005. Everytime a plane or a helicopter goes by, I think of him.
