I haven't played golf in two months. I took a leave of absence because I was frustrated with my game. Then a friend called me to play at her country club at Trilogy as her guest. At first I said no. Then I changed my mind and decided to play. Playing in the very first Women's Guest Day at Trilogy made this round of golf very special to me. Trilogy is the home of the Skin's Game.
So early Tuesday morning I blew the dust off my golf clubs and off I went to Trilogy. I met my team and we had a wonderful breakfast. Then we hit a few balls off the driving range. I was surprised that I was able to hit the ball so well. So after hitting six balls great off the range, I decided to quit while the going was going good. I wanted to save the rest of my good shots for the game.
The Theme of the Guest Day was called Butterflies & Flowers At Trilogy. The event was a four-player team format with both Gross and Net. Scoring was based on the two best balls of our foursome, with a twist. Each player had a picture of a rose, tulip, a sunflower or a daffodil attached to our golf bag. On each tee box there was a picture of one of the matching flowers. When our foursome arrived at the tee box, the player with the matching flower was one of the balls used in addition to the other best ball. On the tee boxes where we saw a butterfly, we were able to use any 2 best balls of our foursome. Also, each player was entitled to one magic putt. Once a player is on the green, she may pick up her ball and count one stroke using her magic putt.
Our tee prize was a cute flower/butterfly golf club cover, that went with the theme event. I had a great time with my foursome. I really enjoyed playing with Lola, Pam and Sandy. I brought my new camcorder with me and took a few film shots . I promised the girls I would make a movie with them in it. So Lola, Sandy and Pam...here's the movie I promised you!

Not only is your new camera spectacular, I love your editing program. The opening was really cool.
I never did get into golf (nor did my husband), though one of our sons plays. But your lunch looked tasty.
