My friend Eva called me yesterday to tell me that the baby hummingbirds were doing a lot of activity. So I grabbed my camcorder to film the little birds in her back patio.
I noticed one of the baby birds flew out of it's nest. The little hummingbird sat on a branch off a nearby hanging flower pot. His brother or sister was still in the nest. In one scene, I filmed the mother getting nectar out of a flower to feed her babies.
I took a video of the baby hummingbirds just four days ago. It's amazing how fast they grew in just a few days! One bird knows how to fly but the other one is still testing his wings.

I agree--amazing how quickly they grow. They look like adults now. But then I look at how the puppies have about doubled in size in the 2 weeks we've had them. I guess when your lifespan is short, you have to grow up much quicker!
That was very sweet. I've only ever seen three hummers where I live but I hear there's lots around these parts too.
