My cousin, Margaret from Massachusetts came to Palm Springs, California on a business trip this week. It was so nice to be able to see her again. Hopefully the next time my cousin comes out here, she'll be on vacation with her husband. Then we can spend more time together.We met her Wednesday night at her hotel and then went out to Nicolino's Italian Kitchen for dinner. The spaghetti sauce was awful, none of us ate very much. So we decided to go to Sherman's Deli for dessert. I'm glad we did because they had the best carrot cake I ever ate! Margaret had lemon meringue pie. The pie was so huge she had to cut it in half. My mom had strawberry shortcake and my husband had the chocolate cake.
I took some video shots of our evening getting desserts. I created the above movie with a nostalgia look because that's what Sherman's Deli reminded me of. The only scene I'm in, is my hand and fork getting ready to eat my carrot cake...LOL!
