Palm Oasis

We went to the Coachella Valley Preserve that is located in Indio Hills, 10 miles east of Palm Springs. It's the home of the Thousand Palm Oasis that is fed by water seeping out of the San Andreas Fault. It's also the home of the fringe-toed lizard, found nowhere else in the world. We didn't see any the day we went. There were several hiking trails. Way too many for us to get lost in.
