This morning Gordon and I went out for breakfast after we dropped Pumpkin off at The Dirty Dog Grooming. We had breakfast at my favorite coffee shop, Elmer's Pancake & Steak House in Indio. Usually I get pancakes, but this time I ordered blueberry waffles. Wow! Those were the best tasting waffles I have ever had!
Back in 1989 I worked for the telephone company as a Account Manager selling telephone systems to businesses in the desert area. Elmer's, in Palm Springs was one of my first accounts. I sold them the latest new phone system at that time. After the contract was signed, the manager had given me a big slice of apple pie and a cup of coffee on the house. The pie was to die for! That's when I got hooked on Elmer's after all these years.
