Remembering Dad's flowers

My dad planted flowers all along the side of his house last year. The above picture of yellow flowers was taken last November around Thanksgiving time in Palm Springs, California. My father loved working in the garden and to see things grow. Everything he planted seemed to flourished under his caring hands. Sometimes dad would plant tomatoes and even corn in the desert would you believe! He was definitely the green thumb in our family. There was also a huge grapefruit tree on the other side of his yard. My dad would send me home with several bags of grapefruits to share with my friends and neighbors.

Today, it's hard for me to believe that my dad is no longer with us, only in spirit. My father's legacy is the beautiful garden and flowers he left behind.
