Grandma's Birthday

Today's my beloved grandmother's birthday. She would have been 96 years old today. We use to celebrated her birthday on Thanksgiving day when she was alive and living in Palm Springs. That's when we were able to get the majority of the family together to celebrate her birthday. The one birthday I remember the best, was her 90th. We had our Thanksgiving dinner at the country club and had a big party at my house. We decorated everything from balloons to streamers. We had a cake made with her picture on on it (that's when the first photo cakes came out). She was amazed that we can eat her picture right off the icing. Then we played old family movies of when we were young. She really enjoyed watching us grow through the years on the home videos. There was a lot of laughter and partying going on her 90th birthday. The best part for me, was watching my grandmother smile all day long!

The above picture (not sure what year) was taken many years ago of my beautiful grandmother when she was young. She had a lot of charisma and I will never forget her.
