Street Fair at COD

Went to the street fair this morning at the COD (College of the Desert), for the first time since they moved. I have to admit, I don't like the new location. I miss the old area where it use to be, it had a lot of character. Now there's several uninterrupted sequence of rows of tents side by side. It looks more like an old swapmeet instead of an upscale street fair to me. One merchant told me that he liked the way it use to look too, however, his business is doing much better because customers can spot him off better than before.

I didn't stay long, because I was with my mother, and it was hard for her to walk (trouble with her knees). Here's another unfavorable situation, finding a place to park real close. Handicapped people don't get a break. They have to walk a long way from the handicapped parking lot to get to the street fair. Yes, they do have golf car attendants that drive people from the parking lot to the fair, but you have to wait a long time before anyone comes by. We waited a half hour and no one showed up, so we ended up walking. I don't mind walking, but it was hard on my mom and all the other poor seniors who have trouble getting around.

Sorry about the ranting. I must of got up on the wrong side of the bed today. I promise to be in a better mood tomorrow. One good thing about today is that the weather is gorgeous! I think I'll go outside and wash my car.
